THE KYKNOS COMPANY STANDS BY THE CHILDREN OF THE ELPIDA ASSOCIATION

On Wednesday 13 March 2024 in an atmosphere that was particularly pleasant and emotional the ceremony presenting the money collected from the philanthropic activities of KYKNOS at the Ellinikon Experience Park throughout the Christmas period to the Board of Directors of the “ELPIDA Association of Friends of Children with cancer” took place at the “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA” Children’s Oncology Unit. Thousands of visitors responding to the company’s invitation to support the goals of the ELPIDA Association visited the KYKNOS canteen at the Ellinikon Park at Christmas to bolster the action whose core message was “Spread Love with Food” and enjoy a delicious street food selection with KYKNOS dressings products. All the funds derived from the action were donated by KYKNOS to the ELPIDA Association to support its work. Attending the ceremony were KYKNOS CEO Achilleas Aggelopoulos and his associates as well as members of the ELPIDA Board of Directors who presented Mr. Aggelopoulos with an honorary plaque in recognition of the KYKNOS Company’s valuable contribution to the work of the ELPIDA Association. “When we envisioned this particular social contribution action we had just one objective: to spread love, joy, light and hope to the children who need us. And we could never have achieved this without the valuable support of the people who embraced this philanthropic initiative from the very first moment. So here we are today at the “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA” Children’s Oncology Unit to offer our concrete assistance and support to the children, who wage their own daily fight, and their families. For the past 34 years the work of the ELPIDA Association has been outstanding and we are truly moved and happy that we were also able to contribute in our own way to the vision for a better tomorrow for the children,” remarked KYKNOS CEO Achilleas Aggelopoulos in his opening remarks.

Next to address the meeting were Emmanouil Papasavvas, Governor of the “Agia Sofia” and “Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospitals and Georgina Ellina, Secretary General of the board of directors of the “ELPIDA Association of Friends of Children with cancer” who expressed their gratitude. The representatives of KYKNOS were then taken on a tour of the “MARIANNA V. VARDINOYANNIS-ELPIDA” Children’s Oncology Unit, the school and the guest house. A pleasant surprise awaited Mr. Aggelopoulos when the Board of Directors presented him with a magnificent surprise-card created with much love by the children of the Oncology Unit.
