Preparation time: 1 hour
Baking time: 45΄minutes

Ingredients for 6 persons

  • 500gr. flour for all uses (you might need a slightly larger quantity)
  • 250gr. KYKNOS Cherry tomatoes in tomato juice
  • 3 big onions
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano (optionally)
  • 2 sachets dry yeast
  • 100gr. finely chopped Salami (we suggest the one from Lefkada island)

Mix the flour, the yeast and a pinch of salt in a bowl, gradually adding some lukewarm water and stirring until it becomes a smooth dough. Cover the bowl with a towel and leave it in a warm place until doubled in volume. In the meanwhile, oil a baking pan and when the dough is ready, place it inside in a way that the whole of the pan is covered. Spread the cherry tomatoes, the onions, the oregano and add the chopped salami all over the dough surface. Pour the olive oil over it and then bake the pie at 180° C degrees for 45 minutes. After about 20 minutes, make sure the surface has not already cooked through - and if so, cover with foil.

In this version of the "ladenia" pie, you can also add some smoked paprika, for a more sophisticated taste.
