Meatloaf

Baking time: 1 hour and 15 minutes

For 8 servings

Ingredients
1 ½ kg ground beef
1 large onion (grated)
1-2 cloves garlic (crushed)
250-300 gr. nut or bread crumbs (soaked and squeezed)
2 eggs
120 ml fresh milk
½ Lemon juice
100 ml olive oil
3 tbsps. Ketchup KYKNOS
180 gr. gruyere or some other hard cheese (grated)
10 slices of chopped bacon (optional)
Some thyme or parsley (finely chopped)
A little paprika
Salt, freshly ground pepper

Preparation
In a large bowl put all the ingredients for the meatloaf except for 1 tbsp. of ketchup KYKNOS. Shape well to homogenize the mixture, as when kneading burgers. Then shape the mixture into a roll and put it in an elongated cake pan that already has a baking sheet applied on.
Smear 1 tbsp. of ketchup KYKNOS on the pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove the roll from the oven and wait a while for it to cool down. Cut into slices and serve with plenty of Ketchup KYKNOS. If you want, you may serve it with rustic baked potatoes and various seasonal vegetables.

Tips
For greater taste you may use 2 types of minced meat e.g., beef and pork.
To make the minced meat fluffier, add a little vinegar or lemon. The same effect have grated vegetables as well, such as carrot, zucchini and tomato.
