Preparation time: 20 '

Cooking time: 30΄

For 4 servings

Ingredients
500g of spaghetti No. 6 or 5
300g ground beef
300g ground pork
1 onion (finely chopped)
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1 egg
2 slices of stale bread (only the crumb, soaked, squeezed and grated)
1 tbsp. white vinegar
Salt, Pepper
Olive oil

For the tomato sauce
500g Crushed Tomatoes KYKNOS
1 onion (finely chopped)
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
Fresh chopped basil (optional)
Salt, freshly ground pepper
Olive oil
Hard spicy cheese for serving

Preparation
Put a little olive oil in a small pan and sauté the onion and garlic, until soft.
Add the meat, egg, bread, a little olive oil, vinegar, onion with the garlic and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix by hand to homogenize the ingredients well. Form into small meatballs and fry them in a deep pan with olive oil.
Meanwhile, heat a little olive oil in a saucepan and fry the onion and garlic. Stir and add the Crushed Tomatoes KYKNOS.
Season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 5-7 minutes. Then add the meatballs to the sauce and cook for a few more minutes. Add basil about 5 minutes before turning off the heat.
At the same time, in another pot, boil the spaghetti in plenty of salted water and then drain it.
Serve the spaghetti in portions, along with the meatballs and their sauce. Sprinkle with grated cheese and if desired, garnish with a little fresh basil.

Tip:
If you want to make your food lighter and healthier, you may, instead of frying, bake the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and a little olive oil.
